Stock Controller
Essex, England
A specialist in the design and build of high quality,
professional, reliable electrical systems for the motorsport industry are now looking
for a Stock Controller who will be based in the production department reporting
to the Production Manager
The wiring looms produced can be found in every
application including Rally, World Touring Cars, GT, CART and F1. With production
facilities in both the UK and North America and distributors for their products
throughout the world, the company is at the forefront of innovation and
technology on an international scale.
As the Stock
Controller responsibilities will include:
To accurately control
all stock movements within the warehouse, maintaining accurate control of
approximately 6000 stock lines.
Daily contact and support to the
Production manager, Harness Builders, Technicians and admin team to ensure effectiveness.
Liaising with customers,
suppliers and other third parties (i.e. logistics services) to resolve any
queries and maintain high standards of service.
Light manual lifting required on
a daily basis.
Ensure all tasks are
completed on time and to a high standard.
Responsible for the
Warehouse and Goods-In/Despatch area (identifying, escalating and resolving
problems and informing the management team accordingly), maintaining an
organised, user-friendly environment.
Ensuring that stock is located logically, accurately and neatly
(physically and electronically), with correctly labelled items stored in
accessible locations, ensuring ease of access for all potential users.
To ensure the accuracy of stock
levels at all times (physically and electronically), maintaining a regular
cycle-count programme, investigating, recording and reconciling any
discrepancies in a timely manner.
Appropriate re-ordering trigger levels maintained for each item.
Control the ordering of stock
items (operating within a budgetary framework), processing stock requests from
production, and providing administration with accurate details for Purchase
Order generation. Communicate with
suppliers as appropriate.
Liaising with logistics providers
professionally and appropriately.
Assemble stock for use in
Production, preparing accurate kits where necessary, so that orders can be
quickly and efficiently passed over to the production team.
As the Stock Controller you will
be meticulous, articulate with excellent communication skills and a good eye for detail.
Must be able to analyse and
interpret information effectively, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Must be able to effectively use
facts and data to support a proposal.
Anticipates problems before they
occur and take steps to deal with them, whilst making logical assumptions and
inferences about data and situations.
Must be willing to share knowledge,
skills and experience.
