Manufacturing Engineer-Automotive-NPI/FMEA Based

This firm has been established in the UK for almost 30 years and are looking to maintain and bolster its position with this appointment, a challenging but collaborative environment with a complex, technically innovative product for some of the largest and most successful automotive OEMs in the world.
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a background in NPI and FMEA, ideally in the automotive environment although this is not essential.
A hands on and fast paced role working for a Tier 1 supplier, your role will develop working methods for production whilst utilising lean experience to maximise efficiency and production. The role starts from design stage through BOM and then creating and reviewing FMEA's, all with a view of optimising performance and reducing cost to the firm. It's a role that works out of an office and on the shopfloor, probably about 70% of your time will be on the shopfloor. It is essential you have ME experience in a hands on environment and are happy with this element, a tools background would work very well.
An appreciation of Quality methodology (8D, 5S) is preferred to offer your own ideas to the firm. Apprentice trained or HNC educated is essential, mechanical engineering qualifications would be highly advantageous.
