Manufacturing Engineer
Worcester/Kidderminster/Ludlow

Essential duties and responsibilities:
-Plan and coordinate the procurement, installation and capability of new manufacturing facilities, controls and related equipment, ensuring latest technology is being used to increase efficiency and economy of operations
-Applicants will be expected to demonstrate delivery of multiple projects across all aspects of Manufacturing Engineering, Process Improvement, and New Product Introduction.
-Be directly involved in the resolution of quality defects, utilising root cause analysis, 8D and other 6 Sigma tools as necessary
-Be directly engaged with other parts of the business at all levels to ensure project delivery against set deliverables
-Support project work relating to existing and new product introduction in support of the targeted business growth objectives
-Tooling and machinery specification, and commissioning including the creation of CAPEX justifications
-Improving existing manufacturing operations, incorporating new methods and processes.
-Responding and investigating operational problems affecting production and dealing with a systematic approach
-Interfacing with contractors/suppliers, obtaining quotations, raising purchase documentation and procuring products or services to support the departmental outputs
-Use skills and experience to ensure that products are brought to production on time and to cost and quality requirements
Experience and Background:
Ability to work under pressure, planning and organising projects and people and making sound decisions quickly.
Worked in a Manufacturing and Operations environment ideally within Automotive/Aerospace Assembly or medium/high volume series production.
Experience of manufacturing technology quality processes and tooling, involving sound technical manufacturing engineering skills in both project and process based environments.
