My client part of an International Group, with a very strong engineering reputation globally, they have achieved a record order book in the previous year, and projections for the same and higher for 2012. They offer comprehensive in house design and manufacturing facilities and specialise in the bespoke project and manufacture of large heavy plant for various industry sectors, including Power Generation, Nuclear and Utilities
Job details
-Candidates should have a background from either CNC or Manual Machining
-Experienced Quality Inspector to join an established market leading company, must be able to read and work from engineering drawings
-Candidates should have a comprehensive background in machining inspection, processes and documentation procedures
-Candidates should ideally be from a heavy mechanical engineering background and have experience of working on metal manufacturing machinery, CNC and / or manual machinery
-Preferably Apprentice trained, progressing from a Mechanical engineering / manufacturing role into a quality assurance environment familiar with ISO standards and ideally have experience from a variety of industry sectors
-Reporting to the QA Manager, working in a small quality department working closely with the Production team and some liaison with the customers.
-Carrying out First Article Inspection and producing/completing relevant paperwork
-Inspecting internal machined components, fabrications and welded components
-Visiting external sub contract engineers to inspect work, and inspecting goods in
