Vibration Test Engineer

The Role
The position offers involvement in the vibration testing of a range of products to the highest technical standards. Working in a responsive, customer oriented environment, you will find there is plenty of day to day variety.

Where necessary, training will be offered to build on existing base skills and experience. The nature of this role and our business requires someone who is adaptable, able to work well under pressure and a good communicator.


What you'll do
-Set up and monitor standard tests in a variety of vibration systems which simulate various operating environments
-Ensure that test specifications are followed correctly
-Devise and carry out non-standard tests to meet special requirements
-Record product behaviour or condition during and after test, accurately and legibly
-Check on test equipment performance and report any anomalies or faults
-Producing clear and professional reports as specified for the task
-Providing information to customers in person or by phone, fax or e-mail
-Assist in the development and support the planned accreditation for chamber calibrations for both internal and external customers


What we are looking for

Essential:
-Minimum HND/Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject, a good understanding of physics is essential
-12 months practical experience in a controlled test environment
-Familiarity with test, monitoring and control instruments
-Knowledge of test standards and quality systems
-Computer literacy - working knowledge of standard PC applications

Desirable:
-Willingness to work overtime or shift patterns as required
