A world leading supplier of high performance transmissions now require an Etcher to set, program, edit, operate and run various laser etching machines and any other relevant machines to identify transmission parts with part / serial numbers in compliance to company quality standards.

Responsibilities include:

Work to departmental schedule
Check Batch / Job pack components and packaging
Check for set-up sheets and part history, create if required
Obtain data sheets (if required)
Locate appropriate tooling
Set machine for 1st off whilst adhering to etching standard and relevant customer care points
Check 1st off
Operate machine observing control plan requirements (if applicable)
Complete all necessary job cards and documentation, re-pack in appropriate packaging, book off and relocate to next operation
Prioritise work in the absence of a Team Leader or Foreman and address any manufacturing issues.
Store and maintain all tooling linked to the process
Undertake day to day machine maintenance
Be part of the personal development process and attend reviews as required
Observe the Health and Safety rules at all times.
Follow the company quality procedures.
Carry out any reasonable additional duties as requested by management.
