An Electromagnetic systems Design Engineer is required with experience in the research and development of high-performance, Electro-Magnetic actuation systems. The core function of this role is the Electro-Magnetic design, analysis and optimisation using cutting edge design and simulation tools within excellent laboratory facilities in pursuit of new actuation technologies.

Engineers are sought with experience in Electric-Motors, high-speed rotating equipment, linear actuators and sensor development and design. Successful applications will be knowledgeable in C language Software programming and testing and the use of tools such as MatLab, Simulink and LabView.

This permanent Job will be working for one of the World's leading Technology led organisations, working in support of internal Electromagnetic Projects for external OEM's, but also as a specialist Consultancy helping to develop external Client Programmes for the Aerospace, Industrial and Domestic Industrial sectors. The role is based in Birmingham, in a fast paced RandD, Mfg and Test environment and will require the successful applicant to work with multi-disciplined teams, clients and suppliers at many levels. This role is sought owing to the clients current workload, incoming projects and their desire to stay at the cutting edge of their specialism.

You must possess,

- A Degree/MSc in Physics, Maths, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- Experience in Electrical Machine Design and Analysis
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Motivation to face challenging problems and the self-motivation to succeed
The role will require international travel from time to time and include delivering technical client presentations and attending as a company technical specialist and occasional speaker.
