Software Engineer - Automotive Systems - UK Midlands - Experience driven: Attractive salary plus benefits

A Software Development Engineer is required with a minimum of 3+ years software product development in the control of vehicle steering systems (EPS - Electric Power Steering), Programming in C/C++, designing and validating Automotive industry software (eg: AUTOSAR, MISRA C, whilst conforming to industry safety and QA Standards such as ISO 26262. This is for a World Class, established Industry leader in Electronic and Mechanical safety focused Systems based in Birmingham. This role is sought owing to the ever increasing and current project workload and growing order book and to reinforce the company's position as the world leader in their field.

Essential Requirements:
BEng/BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or closely related Science based discipline.
Model based development using Matlab and Simulink.
Proven experience as a Software Design Engineer
Real-Time Embedded SW coding and de-bugging skills
An in-depth understanding of the SW development process within low-cost and high volume systems

You must have experience with,
- Mass Production environments
- Working in Multi-disciplinary teams
- Clear communication skills with external agents, partners, clients and suppliers alike
- Experience with [UML, AUTOSAR, Analogue/Digital Hardware], whilst knowledge of SW Test and Validation planning and specification would also be desirable but not essential.
