Sponsored by India’s most successful vehicle manufacturers, this centre of excellence for the development of electric and hybrid vehicles has made significant investment in state of the art facilities for battery development at its European Technical Centre and this key role that will contribute significantly to its success.  

Battery modules are developed to suit each new vehicle application; each is unique bringing with it demanding engineering challenges in terms of package, mounting, interconnection, thermal management, weight management, reliability, durability and cost. This is a wide ranging job that will include; development of conceptual designs, material and process selection, detailed materials and failure mode investigations, production of prototype battery modules, preparation of detailed technical reports.

Applications are encouraged from engineers with an impressive record of achievement in product design & process development, seasoned professions or those who have recently started their career (must have spent time in industry).

To be considered for this job you must:

• Hold an Honours (minimum of 2.1) Degree or higher qualification in an Engineering, Science or Materials Technology discipline
• Be a practical, hands-on Engineer
• Be naturally curious, energetic, enthusiastic
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess good logical reasoning, task planning ability and analytical skills.
