Graduate Opportunity - Interior Trim Engineer - Coventry

Sponsored by India's most successful vehicle manufacturer, this centre of excellence for whole vehicle development is growing to meet increasing demand for its expertise from the parent company and 3rd parties. This has created many new career opportunities including this one for an Engineering Graduate with industry experience to be trained on-the-job as an Interior Trim Engineer whilst working on the development of a proof of concept small car.

Aspects of the job will include, supporting the Principal Engineer with the development of Cabin Trim systems on a "proof of concept" vehicle, working with prototype trim parts suppliers to ensure that all parts are production representative and meet agreed attribute targets, support cross-functional reviews with styling, engineering and suppliers to ensure all targets are met and issues resolved, ensure that all cabin trim parts are released in line with the Engineering Timing Release Schedule to meet part manufacture and build schedule, support the build of parts onto the vehicle.

Applications are encouraged from Engineers at or near to the start of their careers seeking the opportunity to develop their knowledge of Trim Engineering. To be considered for this job you must:

- Hold an Honours (minimum of 2.1) Degree or higher qualification in Automotive Engineering or an Engineering or Science discipline
- Have spent a period of time industry working in a design or development environment, ideally automotive, aerospace or rail
- Be energetic, enthusiastic and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess good logical reasoning, task planning ability and analytical skills
- Be flexible and willing to travel overseas on a regular basis

Candidates whose alma mater was Loughborough or Coventry universities will be at an advantage for this permanent staff career development opportunity.
