Verification and Improvement Engineer required on a permanent contract for a major regional Water company based in Shropshire.

The role focuses on verification and improvement activities to monitor compliance and identify areas of risk and opportunities for change, innovation and knowledge sharing through the lifetime of the AMP5 programme and individual projects.

As Verification and Improvement Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of suitable risk-based audit and assessment plans for your area of responsibility.

Candidates must have experience of:
- Supply chain management (with emphasis on Health andSafety and Environmental Standards and Quality Management).
- Strong relationship management skills and experience working across all levels of the supply chain
- Contract Law and Construction Contract terms
- Sound understanding of the design and construction processes involved in the Water industry
- Quality Management Systems
- Analyse data and relevant information to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement, common learning opportunities and improved risk management
- Providing adequate and accurate performance information and reports to support the process of analysis, decision making, work load planning and risk assessment
- Maintaining suitable networks and contacts to support the identification of opportunities for learning and knowledge sharing

The salary for this position is £34,000 to £44,000 depending upon experience. If this role is of interest to you please forward your CV prior to 31st October 2012.

Applicants must be educated to Degree level in an Engineering discipline, and ideally possess Health and Safety and Lead Auditor qualifications. Membership of a professional body such as ICE, CIWEM or IMechE would also be desirable.
