Electronics Engineer - Power Electronics - Automotive - UK Midlands - Experience driven: attractive salary plus relocation/Benefits].

An Electronics Engineer is required with a minimum of 4+ years high volume Electronic circuit design and development. You will be responsible for the creation of new circuit designs covering a wide range of analogue and digital technologies and applications. The role will report to the ECU (Electronics Control Unit) Team Leader, and the role will lead/assist the team on ECU development and applications across a range of Automotive components and systems.

Frequent tasks will include circuit analysis, tolerancing using such tools as SABER, SPICE and MathCAD. The post will be part of a specialist team of designers developing Microprocessors, Power supply, filtering and switching. Also closely involved with Motor Control, ASIC and Analogue design and EMC.

The above will be used in the development of Electric Power Steering, EPHS and Powertrain applications, utilising a range of Motor Drives across our clients Product range.

This is for a World Class, established Industry leader in Electronic and Mechanical safety focused Systems based in Birmingham. This role is sought owing to the ever increasing and current project workload and growing order book and to reinforce the company's position as the world leader in their field.

Essential Requirements:
BEng/BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or closely related Science based discipline, also likely to hold an MSc.
Confident Client, team and Supplier facing skills based on your knowledge of EandE technologies and requirements capture/challenge ability.
Possess the will and drive to travel globally as Projects and clients demand across the UK, EU and USA.
UML or Model based development using Matlab and Simulink.
Ability to work in support and mentor younger Team Members.
Experienced in Safety and QA issues (FMEA, ISO etc).

You must have experience with,
- Mass Production environments
- Working in Multi-disciplinary teams
- Clear communication skills with external agents, partners, clients and suppliers alike
- Experience acting as the Senior/Lead Engineer in their absence is highly desirable, seeing this post as the next step in your career to date. Any knowledge of a foreign language would also be a distinct advantage.
