Electric Motor Winding Technician
Northamptonshire, England
Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit an Electric Motor Winding Technician on an initial 6 month contract basis.
The individual will work as part of a team, responsible for the completion of manual assembly operations to produce mechanical and electrical assemblies in a safe manner. Work will be undertaken to a pre-determined quality standard using approved methods in which training will be given and will be completed in line with agreed delivery schedules.
Reporting to the Department Manager and Department Team Leader, the individual will be responsible for the following:
- Assembling mechanical and electrical components for electric motors.
- Electric motor stator coil winding.
- Bench testing of components to meet performance requirements.
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of our build environment.
- Flexibility in working hours to ensure components ore completed in line with test schedules.
- Self organisation of requested tasks in order to complete these in a safe and efficient manner.
- Meeting with Department members and Managers on a daily basis to discuss working practices and problem solving.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience of electrical assembly principals and be familiar with component assembly processes.
- High degree of competence when working with electrical systems particularly building, testing and fault finding.
- Minimum 2 years experience of small batch Military spec, Loom manufacture or similar high quality engineering environment.
- Ability to work to high levels of quality and cleanliness.
- Proactive and ability to work under pressure to meet challenging deliveries.
- Highly organised with good attention to detail.
- Flexible with a high level of self responsibility.
- Ability to rigorously follow defined processes.
- Team worker with an ability to work alone.
Desirable Attributes:
- PC literacy including MS office products.
- Familiar with electrical diagnostic equipment
- Electric motor stator winding and assembly.
- Electrical safety awareness.
