The processes of this company are state of the art plastic blow moulding and system assembly, producing products which include fuel tanks, fuel pipes, expansion tanks and air ducts for Just-In-Time supply to Honda, Jaguar, BMW, Rolls-Royce and MG Rover.
The role requires the individual to take ownership and responsibility for the product quality, process control, quality standards and related procedures required to ensure blow moulded carcasses and related system assembly are made to meet company and customer expectations. Quality of product produced must be of the highest and safest possible standards to ensure fuel tanks, and fuel pipes manufactured at the company will perform well in service and exceed their lifetime endurance requirements.

You will develop and implementing the Company`s Quality Management system, in accordance with ISO 9001-2000 and TS16949 automotive standards. The approach to quality should be pro-active and complimentary to operational efficiency. You will develop and implement all elements of APQP activities including FMEA`s, control plans and PSW s as well as establishing requirements for ongoing capability monitoring and SPC.
Qualified to degree level in a suitable technical discipline (or relevant experience), you will have an understanding of the processing of plastic materials with a minimum of 3-5 years Quality engineering experience. You must be flexible and have experience of working in a fast moving automotive environment and be organised to be able to cope with multiple tasks and priorities in a fast moving environment, with a high commitment to quality (to ISO 9001-2000 / TS/ISO 16949 standards). You will be methodical and able to demonstrate a hands-on approach to technical aspects of Quality and will be confident when making Quality presentations.
You will possess and be able to use quality tools: 8D, 5Why, FTA, MSA, SPC, APQP, FMEA, PPAP.
