TRW Electric Power Steering Systems is a major automotive component supplier manufacturing high integrity, electro-mechanical systems. With a strong vision, significant investment plans, and an excellent order book, they now seek a Technical Project Manager The Technical Project Manager is required to manage the customer engineering interface including requirements documentation and flow down, open issues tracking and resolution, project schedule tracking and adherence to project milestones and technical explanation and justification to customer.
Provide monthly metrics describing the status of the project on a range of engineering deliverables Develop and maintain a comprehensive time plan to identify and track the project deliverables Manage design changes and resolving concerns Provide a cohesive technical lead for the project by convening design reviews and setting out the technical requirements Coordinate requirements and delivery of prototype samples Own all technical issue resolution including problem resolution system Support planning and monitoring of the project budget for headcount, materials and purchased services Will have responsibility for adhering to the new product introduction process and assisting the Project Chief to meet all performance criteria ensuring customer acceptance within the budget constraints. Candidate Requirements
2.1 or better degree in a relevant engineering discipline Extensive Project Management experience Good communication and leadership skills Demonstrated ability to work proactively Rigorous and positive approach Experience of electromechanical design for a high volume product in Automotive PMI or Prince2 credentials Six Sigma certified German language skills (ideal not essential)Your CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
