Supply Chain NPI Logistics Planning Analyst

We are seeking to recruit a Supply Chain NPI Logistics Planning Analyst on a rolling contract based in County Durham.
As Supply Chain NPI Logistics Planning Analyst, you will support the ongoing Articulated Truck NPI program by ensuring all required material is correctly planned, scheduled and received from suppliers, expediting may also be necessary if timescales become compressed. To collate information on part availability and report this through the NPI process. highlighting critical issues, and contributing to root cause corrective actions.
Job Description:
This is a key role within the Supply Chain Material Planning Department with a specific focus on the AT NPI program. The job will require close, ongoing collaboration with Engineering Change Control, Global Purchasing, suppliers and operations. This function will ensure all schedules are correctly created and maintained, and material is procured in line with the schedules. Clear communication with all partners will be a central aspect of this this role as it will be necessary to provide accurate updates, both internally and to the external supplier base.
The following competencies are required for this challenging position:
* Material planning/purchasing background
* Familiar with material planning systems and concepts including
bills of material
* Proven ability to schedule and expedite parts to meet NPI build plans
* Self motivated and able to operate within a team environment
* Strong communication skills
* Good numerical skills
* Good attention to detail
* Well organised and able to work to tight deadlines
* Computer literate (in particular Excel)
* Supply Chain qualification advantageous
