Designers and manufacturers of Ruggesdised Equipment since 1975, the company has developed a range of products specifically designed for use in areas where harsh environmental conditions prevail and where there is a risk of explosion due to the presence of flammable atmospheres.
They are now looking to appoint a Supply Chain Manager who will be responsible for the strategic performance of the supply chain including sourcing, purchasing, planning, warehousing, distribution and transport. The role carries 4 direct reports: Production Planning Manager, Purchasing Manager, Dispatch Team Leader, Dispatch Controller and in turn will report to the Company Operations Manager
Define supply chain strategy Achieve year on year budgeted improvements in material cost productivity Supplier count optimization. Supplier OTD and lead-time improvement. Manage internal OTD and improve to meet customer requests Supplier search and selection utilizing the regional sourcing teams. Vendor quality / ppm. De-risk the existing supply chain through dual and re-sourcing activities. Ensuring early sourcing and supplier involvement in the NPD and NPI processes. Supplier and customer contract alignment. Manage inventory targets for all aspects of the business Work closely with external suppliers to deliver cost reduction, quality and delivery improvements Supports business planning and investment required for people, supply base and capital in a rolling twelve month cycle Other duties as needed
The successful candidate will: be Degree educated (or equivalent) and ideally CIPS qualified Have Experience of ERP / MRP or related product specific forecasting in a manufacturing or distribution environment, preferably SAP. Must be able to communicate supply chain objectives clearly and convey the benefits to the organization. Must be knowledgeable in planning and forecasting systems (MRP/DRP/ERP/CRM). Proficient in MS Excel and Access. Practical experience in the application of continuous improvement techniques in a manufacturing environment. Proven commercial abilities, specifically negotiation skills. Have end to end Supply Chain knowledge and experience, preferably in a SME manufacturing environment Be proficient with ERP/MRP systems (ideally SAP) Hands on Problem solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills (written and spoken)Your CV will be forwarded to Jonathan Lee Recruitment, a leading engineering and manufacturing recruitment consultancy established in 1978.
