This global leader engineers and manufactures complex mechanical systems for civil and defence programmes. A new opportunity has arisen for a permanent Machining related Quality Manager in Wolverhampton.
Responsible for the effective management of the MALL Value Stream Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure the system is established, maintained and improved upon. A functional leadership role in product and process compliance to ensure safe and reliable products. A key internal consultant to the leadership of the business on all Quality matters. You will provide Quality leadership / guidance on all Quality Management System matters as well as product compliance on the MALL Value Stream. Is the advocate for the VOC (voice of the customer) ensuring customer requirements are realised. A proactive leadership role that drives the development of robust processes. Accountable for QMS compliance within the Value Stream. Daily interface with Programme, Engineering and operations staff on Quality matters.
You will likely be degree qualified and have experience of operations leaderships roles including experience in Quality leadership. A strong background for QMS and application of measurement, analysisand CI tools. Demonstrated problem solving skills, RCCA. Fully conversant with AS 9100 would be a bonus. Ability to lead projects, develop and mentor. Able to train other leaders in QMS and continuous improvement / 6sigma activities. Your quality experience could be in aerospace, automotive, medical, pharmaceutical or a precision engineering sector.
