Our client is looking for an experienced Project Engineer to lead specific improvement projects and provide engineering support to ensure the definition of the design, scope and the deliverables are appropriate.
Work in a professional manner and to follow HSE procedures, aiming to avoid accidents, harm to people and damage to the environment.

Participate in site BSA or Compliance audits as required.

Contribute to Process Safety management within the Team

Ensure Process Safety it is inherent in design and considered during the Project selection and definition.

Lead the technical development of allocated projects from concept through feasibility to technical definition stage to ensure the appropriate technology options are applied.

Follow the Project Processes completing packages for all Projects

Understand, develop and supervise engineering deliverables during the Select and Define project phases. Drive the workflow of the engineering deliverables in a multidisciplinary FEED and EPCM project environment.

Ensure that all relevant standards are included.

Engage key stakeholders in the development of the Project Scope and deliverables.

Assist Business Development with business case assessments and conceptual design.
Technical competence within engineering discipline (Degree level qualification or comparable)

Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems.

Demonstrable communications skills

Understanding of the principles of good project management.

Numerate with good IT skills

Good understanding of Refinery configuration, major processes and economics

Demonstrated competency as defined by the Refining Professional Excellence competency map for Levels I - H

Recognised for technical expertise within a team and other peers in other work groups.

Ability to work closely within a cross functional organisation, recognising and balancing area needs against functional requirements.
