The company is a leading international development partner to the automobile and engine industry. They are going through a period of major growth and are looking to hire additional Quality Technician.

The purpose of this position is to support the day to day quality activities for the machining production lines to ensure product conformance and compliance is adhered to at all times.

The role will include:

  • To react and resolve Internal Complaints according to the company procedure
  • To carry out Product and Process Audits to defined schedule
  • To carry out Cleanliness checks to defined schedule
  • To present Product and Process Audits results to teams and monitor action plans
  • To review and sanction non conforming products
  • To support the Production and Production Engineering departments with the Quality Assurance and improvement programmes of the projects.
  • To support New Product introduction programmes
  • To facilitate where necessary improvement programmes
  • To audit all manufacturing process documents in line with company procedure
  • To facilitate the improvement of process documents and improvement programmes.
  • Any other duties deemed reasonable by your immediate supervisor or manager

    Qualifications
  • A level or HNC in engineering or equivalent craft
  • Engineering Qualification desired but not essential
  • Institute of Quality Assurance qualifications would be desirable.

    Experience
  • Experience within an automotive industry is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of Quality Control practices and procedures
  • Experience within a quality environment
  • An understanding and awareness of quality core tools e.g. SPC, Production Part Approval (PPAP), control plans , FMEA and data analysis is desirable.

    Skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as a team member is essential
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Excel and word is desirable.
  • Must be flexible and able to work to challenging deadlines
