Part of a global organisation, this well established manufacturer of luxury vehicles is currently enjoying success within the market place. They have invested over 200m in new equipment and are at the forefront of modern manufacturing practices.
Aftermarket Purchasing.
Main responsibilities would include:
Managing supplier relationships in regard to aftermarket supply . Strategy planning.
Controlling all expenditure related to Aftermarket including Engineering, Design and Testing, Prototypes, Tooling, and Goods/Services.
Developing, along with the TVM buyers, opportunities to improve design, cost and quality.
Benchmarking existing product and analysing market trends. Annual cost improvement negotiations. Identifying Emerging Market Sourcing opportunities in countries such as Brazil, Russia, India and China.
Skills Required:
Good level of IT competence in programmes such as SAP, Excel and Word and a high level of numerical and analytical competence are essential.
Must demonstrate ability to build effective cross functional relationships. .
Skills Preferred:
Excellent communication skills, influencing and negotiating skills.
Aptitude to operate effectively within a challenging environment. Attention to detail is essential as they will be required to adhere to complex processes.
Experience Required:
Preferably proven Aftermarket Purchasing experience.
An understanding of the automotive procurement marketplace.
A demonstrable commercial business awareness
