An opportunity has arisen for a highly professional Quality Engineer to support current manufacturing and new product introduction activities through the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and procedures for this 1st Tier Supplier of automotive components and sub assemblies.
As an integral part of the team the Quality Engineer, you will be dealing with both internal and external quality activities implementing corrective action plans were necessary. You will be involved in current manufacturing and NPI projects having responsibility for supporting key clients to ensure quality standards are maintained and issues are resolved quick and efficiently utilising tools and techniques to include SPC, ISIR s, PPAP, 8D, FMEAs and 5S.
Previous experience of working very closely with major automotive OEMs would be advantageous along with prior involvement in sourcing new suppliers, and carrying out supplier audits. Due to the increased programme activities you will also be responsible for supporting all new product engineering functions throughout the APQP process.
Previous experience of operating within a Quality Engineering function for a 1st Tier or OEM is essential along with knowledge of TS16949, PPAP, FMEA, assembly processes, BIW and quality systems and tools.
