A CAE Project Planner is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Whitley, West Midlands.
Description
Position Description:
CAE Project Planner
Assist in coordinating and monitoring CAE plans for all vehicle programmes. Advise Project Leaders on priorities and important project developments. Preparation of material and engineering data for presentation at CAE reviews. Reporting analysis results and overall status at vehicle gateway events. Interaction with CAE representatives from other CoC's as key point of contact. Representation of powertrain at project meetings at all levels.

Highly proactive and excellent attention to detail. Excellent presentation and communications skills. Effective team member, self-motivated, demonstrating personal drive and initiative. Ability to interact with a range of people across the organisation. Flexibility to manage varying tasks within a broad ranging role.
Skills Preferred:
Understanding of powertrain systems.
Details
Experience Required:
Experience and understanding of CAE techniques (FEA, CFD) and interpreting analysis results. Proven problem solver with good planning skills, logical reasoning and attention to detail.
Experience Preferred:
Understanding of GPDS & Virtual Series
Education Required:
BSc/MSc Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline.
Education Preferred:
Candidates from other industries may be considered depending on knowledge and experience.
