A Multi-Body Systems Analyst is required to work on contract for our large automotive client based in Gaydon, Warwickshire.

Description
Position Description:
CAE provide an analysis service to powertrain development. This comprises transmissions and driveline, intake and exhaust systems, fuel and cooling systems, gasoline and diesel engines. .A vacancy exists for a Multi-Body Systems Analyst.

Attributes covered are:- Noise Vibration and Harshness, Durability Performance Emissions and Driveability. The activities span the APC, PrePS and Virtual Series product development phases together with supporting Quality and TVM actions. Powertrain CAE is part of the Attributes and Analysis group within the New Model Programs organisation.

Job Requirements
Skills Required:
Carry out Multi-body Systems analysis of driveline and mounting systems for power units. Construct MBS model using ADAMS or SYMPAK. Import flex bodies from FE codes e.g. NASTRAN. Force in either the frequency of time domain. Obtain and interpret both transient and steady state results. Report results in a accurate and concise manner both verbally and in written form.

Skills Preferred:
Experience of solid modelling using either IDEAS or CATIA an advantage. Proven ability in MBS techniques, preferably using ADAMS or SYMPAK. Experience of Powertrain Development particularly in Transmissions & Driveline and/or mounting systems. Be able to contribute as part of a team. Written and verbal communication skills. Well developed PC skills e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Flexibility to work on many varied tasks, covering both brands and on either Gaydon or Whitley site.

Details
Experience Required:
Proven track record in MBS analysis preferably in Powertrain systems.

Experience Preferred:
Proficiency in other MBS codes and experience of other applications may be considered.

Education Required:
An HND or Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering.

Education Preferred:
A higher degree is an advantage.

Additional Information:
Candidates from other industries may be considered depending on knowledge and experience.
