Our client is the main stamping site for this multi-site manufacturer of automotive body panels for many of the world`s leading vehicle producers. In line with the Company`s policy of continuous quality improvement, we are now seeking to appoint a Quality Manager on permanent basis in Telford.
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will ensure processes and systems are maintained an only quality products reach the customer. Main duties / responsibilities: * To formulate and deliver a quality strategy for the site, with schedules and resources identified, aligned to both short term and long term needs of the business. * To lead the team to achieve QOS targets for the customer and plant goals. * To identify, formulate and conduct quality training and awareness events. * To promote effective usage of quality enhancement tools such as SPC, FMEAs, control plans, MSA and other advanced quality methods.
It is essential for applicants to have a experience of a quality role within an automotive manufacturing environment. * Management experience * Experience in customer supplier management * Demonstrate experience in implementing the requirements of TS 16949, ISO 14001 and Q1. It is desirable to be educated to a degree standard or equivalent.
