Our client is a leading independent provider of product engineering, research, testing information and certification to the worldwide automotive industry and is based in Warwickshire. It is seeking an engineer to be based at a client site in Gaydon Warwickshire
An opportunity has arisen for a Test/Development Engineer on an ongoing contract basis.
Based in the structural test department at a vehicle manufacturer in South Warwickshire, you will be responsible for running whole vehicle structural and durability tests on 4 poster rigs.
Responsibilities will include overseeing the design and construction of test fixtures, hydraulics, electro mechanical parts, running tests, programming control parameters and data collection
You will also be responsible for fabricating servo-hydraulic rigs for component testing, running tests and collating data.
As well as experienced engineers, the client will also consider less experienced candidates but with strong hydraulic control experience.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum HNC,
- Previous servo rig test or servo hydraulic experience is essential
- Previous automotive experience on whole vehicle testing of some nature e.g. crash or structures.
- Candidates from an automotive rig testing background will be considered.
