Our automotive client is a market leader in luxury and high volume off-road vehicles, designing and manufacturing in the Midlands.
A new 7-month contract opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Engineer based in Warwickshire.
As Manufacturing Engineer you will work with the following manufacturing functions to co-ordinate and manage responses into the pre-phase of the annual process.
* Stamping
* DCandBI
* Body Construction
* Paint
* Trim and Final Assembly
* MPandL
* Systems
* New Model Launch
Providing inputs into the APC technology team in the form of Fixed and Variable costs including hours per Car and Launch. Compilation of the Annual Process Red book for each programme, including Manufacturing panel 4B charts. Reporting status against LQOS deliverables at and gateways via Integrator. Liaising with Manufacturing functions / departments to facilititate the responses into the Red book and to confirm Manufacturing hard points and facility constraints.
* Plan and manager the early program feasibility review process with Product Development and Design.
* Communicate and feedback on key technical issues.
* Liaising with the Engineering CoC`s to drive compatibility between the Bill of Design / Bill of Process
Skills required:
* Cross Manufacturing Technlogy knowledge
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to interact at tall levels and within all functions.
* Ability to negotiate between conflicting business interests.
* Busines Acumen and fin
