We are recruiting for a Logistics Engineer to be based in Stafford on a rolling contract. Within the Supply Chain Planning and Development team you will support the growth in engine volumes and help proactively drive continuous Logistics improvement.

This role is to lead Supply Chain/ Logistics improvements with particular focus on Outbound operations to the Asia Pacific region and Plan for Every Part (PFEP) in support of the region. Further responsibility will be to participate and contribute to business improvement projects for the Supply Chain in its development of the department.
* Develop detailed descriptions of UK>Asia Pacific material flows with particular focus on their cost and velocity constraints.
* Create and develop exceptional relationships with Asia Pacific in country logistics and transportation providers to ensure consistent product flow to point of decant.
* Work with multi-cultural purchasing and supply teams to ensure best in class material availability and quality in the EAME and Asia Pacific regions.
* Design and delivery of robust packaging specifications to the Asia Pacific region.
* Dynamic development of packaging to support changing product flow.
* Design and development of packaging cost model to Asia Pacific with focus on quality and cost control.

Require candidates with tenacity, patience, commitment, good commercial skills to consider budget restraints and cost impact of decisions.
* Supply Chain Experience - Construction or Automotive Industry is desirable but would consider logisticians from other industries.
* Experience and knowledge of lean supply chain principles, specifically those applied to pull replenishment, Parts Global network material flow, packaging, containerization, supplier planning requirements/parameters and safety.
* Must possess advanced analytical skills and project management principles.
* Advanced MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
* The ability to travel outside of home country up to 20% of the time
* Experience of MFG/PRO or SAP
* CIPS,CILT,IOM Full accreditation would be beneficial
* Professional Supply Chain accreditation and relevant University

Degree.
* MSc Logistics or MSc Supply Chain Qualification
