Our Client designs, develops, and manufactures powertrain components for use within the motorsport industry. They are currently seeking to recruit a Production Buyer.
To define the commodities sourcing strategies
To manage your supply chain and suppliers performance
To develop key suppliers to improve suppliers performance
To deliver engine program in budget and contribute to savings/cost reduction/productivity objectives
To develop, monitor and maintain the procurement processes
To present performance KPIs to management on a periodic basis.
To maintain the team s presence within the company.
- To define the sourcing strategies, develop and maintain your preferred supplier lists
- To lead supplier negotiations including preparation and documentation
- To develop key suppliers with the focus on continuous improvement
- Cross-functional teamwork involving Design, Engineering, Quality, Finance
- To manage relationships and lead incident resolution with assigned suppliers.
- To insure suppliers reliability in achieving 100% quality, cost and delivery compliance in test phases and race phases
- Responsible for the purchasing processes from test phase to race phase, and change management :
To hold and document performance reviews with suppliers
- Responsible for programmes and commodity sourcing presentations to management, including MDS Gateway presentations
- Purchasing representative in defined project management meetings
- To participate and input into group and divisional projects.
- To use the Purchasing forms and company processes
- To use and update accurately the company systems and databases
- To report on performance KPIs as per the defined frequency
- To support the implementation of quality process (ISO standards)
Essential
Purchasing experience in a fast moving manufacturing environment, i.e. automotive or FMCG
Project management experience
Dispute resolution skills
MRP understanding
2 years in purchasing

Desirable
Knowledge of Industrial Engineering
Track record of working with a number of commodities
SAP Knowledge
Technical understanding of commodity group
