Assistant Accountant - Operations

Emission Control Technologies is a world leader in the development and manufacture of Autocatalyst technology and operates to the automotive industry quality standards ISO/ts16949 AND iso14001 associated with environmental best practice. They are currently looking for an Assitant Opeations Accountant to join their Finance Department.
The main purpose of this role will be to provide support to the Operations Accountant. Responsibilities will include providing general assistance in producing monthly reports and ensuring all reconciliations are being performed and reviewed. Required to ensure that business costing systems are regularly maintained and be required to regulary review and analyse Operations Overhead and Production costs, providing support as required for UK Operations management. Maintenance of business costing systems and Involvement with Inter-Group and Monthly reports
Develop and document processes and procedures for daily and monthly tasks.
Identify and implement process improvements where necessary.
Education and Qualifications
Qualified or near qualified Accountant (e.g. ACCA/ CIMA/ AAT or eqvt)
Must have work experience in a commercial / Manufacturing environment.
Other Requirements
Sound verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft packages. Knowledge of JD Edwards and One World packages an advantage. Proven track record with previous roles. Need to have the ability to identify weaknesses in a process and be able to implement process improvements.
Flexibility to adapt to changes within the role.
