Structures Planner

Our client is a leading prestige automotive manufacturer based in Oxfordshire who are looking to recruit a Structures Planner to handle building and layout projects in Assembly In Plant in Oxford.
Core Responsibilities:-
- Concept Evaluation and Feasibility investigations
- Development of detailed Structure and Vehicle Assembly plans to VPS principles.
- Ensure plans are compatible with the overall Central Site and Assembly strategy.
- The job requires development of Vehicle Assembly and Structure layout options within the parameters of the appropriate reference scenarios, site strategies and vehicle build requirements, including LPD (Long term Plant Development.
- A broad view of possibilities and options are needed to be generated in the creation of an efficient plan.
- An understanding of the cost and change management system is required with an ability to negotiate with process partners essential.
Skills & Experiences:-
- Degree/Masters with 3-5 years related experience
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing including assembly techniques, problem solving skills and project planning.
- Ability to lead a project
- Layout drawing skills with Microstation or similar.
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Good office IT skills
- Must be able to communicate with internal and external International partners and have the ability to sell concepts and communicate technical solution effectively.
- Must be flexible in time and work place (inc. temporary international assignments).
