Powertrain Project Managers
Gaydon, Warwickshire, England

Our client is a global automotive OEM based in the West Midlands. We currently have a number requirements for Project Managers with experience within a Powertrain commodity.


Position Description:

Working as part of the Powertrain Project Management team delivering all Powertrain program actions into production on time having successfully met all performance, durability, attribute and cost targets.
Key responsibilities will include:

Management of team members and functional representatives, facilitation of issue resolution, component and system design releases, cost, weight and assumption management, advising line management of deviations to the plan and driving solutions and corrective actions. The role will require the successful applicant to ensure that all Powertrain elements of the program are delivered on time and with Quality.



Skills Required:

Good overall Powertrain system knowledge. Computer literate in PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Project. Valid UK driving license. Ability to interface directly to the vehicle programme teams and represent the Powertrain Department. Flexible, adaptable and excellent communicator - written / oral.



Skills Preferred:

Working knowledge of OEM project delivery and change management processes including GPDS, AIMS, WERS and eFDVS. Knowledge of relevant quality tools i.e. FMEA, 8D etc.
Experience Required:

Powertrain system design / development or programme management.



Experience Preferred:

OEM specific process knowledge ideally gained in Product Development environment.



Education Required:

It is anticipated that applicants will be educated to a degree level in an engineering or automotive discipline. However candidates with significant Powertrain experience will also be considered.



Education Preferred:

Travel will be anticipated across client sites around the UK.

Applicant to be fully independent in terms of transport and have use of mobile phone to aid communication.



Applicants MUST have proof of immediate and valid eligibility to work full time in the UK.
