Control Systems Engineer
Northamptonshire, England

A leading motorsport team require a Real Time Control Systems Engineer to design in-the-loop control systems.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer of the Controls and Dyno Systems Groups, the Control Systems Engineer you will be responsible for:

Developing algorithms for the off-car real-time x-in-the-loop systems used throughout the company

Evaluating and implementing control methods for new systems
Creating models of physical car systems to integrate into existing real time platforms

Liaising with the electronics and vehicle dynamics groups to bring new solutions from concept to operation

Maintaining and updating the existing systems with respect to developments in other groups/areas

With a relevant engineering qualification, the successful Control Systems Engineer will have a strong knowledge of control systems design, and in-depth experience of Simulink, Real-Time Workshop/Simulink Coder will be a necessity.

A proven familiarity with interfacing software and hardware will be essential, along with previous experience of HIL systems.

A working knowledge of physics is expected, as is a high level of numeracy and literacy.



You will possess high levels of drive and able to make decisions within a pressurised environment.



Flexibility in hours and approach is required, along with a can do , team playing attitude and the ability to work under minimal supervision, to strict deadlines.
