Competitive market rate

You will be part of a team responsible for a critical steering component that has recently won plaudits This component defines the steering feel of the vehicle and a control engineer is required to help ensure that these high standards are maintained on recent business awards and to support the development of the next generation. Responsible for assisting with the development, specification and implementation of the EPS control algorithms to deliver exceptional system level performance. As the system is a complex electro-mechanical system, a detailed understanding of control theory and application will be backed up with a sound knowledge of electronics, mechanics and sensing and actuation technologies.
What you ll do

Use Matlab tools to assist with the design of controller dynamics, the specification of the controller design, verification of the controller function and documentation of the controller performance and the method of tune at vehicle level.
Review customer requirements, elicit or capture explanation information and generate necessary software requirements documents or specification analysis documents.
Develop implementations of control functions using automatic code generation from controller models using tools such as Targetlink.
Investigate control performance issues, establish root cause and issue fault reports.
Assist with engineering activities at customers, for example by preparing explanations and/or demonstrations of control system functionality. (Overseas travel will be required from time to time
What we are looking for

Essential:
