Our client is a leading manufacturer of automotive body panels for many of the world`s vehicle producers. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is to view the supply chain as a single entity dedicated to the efficient flow of goods and services, with the target of 100% customer satisfaction, eliminating waste and reducing the total acquisition cost. You will be responsible in the plant for the development, generation and implementation of supply chain strategy, common work instructions, policies and procedures across the local supply chain teams.

To promote Health and Safety across the department and site in accordance with company policies and ensure high levels of housekeeping throughout the department, production planning to meet customer demands, material scheduling and packaging controls, ensuring all are in place and accurately managed to deliver business needs, close liaison with Production to ensure the plans are met and agreed corrective actions to protect customer supply. You will also be responsible for stock accuracy through accurate bookings and controls, transport into and out of the site, customer schedule demands and interface, developing excellent relationships across all customers, budget control of all departmental costs and control of scrap from production into stock and ultimate disposal from site.

You will be responsible for providing a highly professional service to the business which will incorporate efficient departmental management and a strategic drive to exceed customer expectations and deliver best in class performance. This is a high profile role as it presents the day to day face of the business to the customer as well as being key to the successful running and development of the business. You must be an experienced Supply Chain Professional with a strong ERP experience and sound evidence of previous improvements within your responsibility. The successful candidate will also demonstrate a high level of understanding of the business needs and with an exceptional ability to manage the day to day whilst having a passion for driving improvements. Supplier development is also a key deliverable and a demonstrable record of improving this to world class standards will be needed. Additionally, you willl have the ability to clearly articulate and work with piers to deliver best practice across the department.
