Software Engineer - (Perm or Contract)

A world leader in the innovation, design and manufacture of Diesel Fuel Injection equipment are now looking for a Software Engineer for either a contract or permanent position.

As the Software Engineer your duties will be drawn from the following:

Engine and Vehicle Control Application Feature Design using Matlab/Simulink.

Configuration control and managed by ClearQuest/ClearCase

Static Analysis using QA C to MISRA (plus local) guidelines

Integration Testing on Bench, Rig and Engine

Using load box / test harness / HIL

Using commercial software in-circuit emulation and background debug tools (e.g. EST BDM probe (PowerPC), Lauterbach.

With local calibration and debug tools using CAN and K-line interfaces, Visu, ATI, Gredi etc.

Supporting System engineers in Validation Test

As the Software Engineer you will be educated to degree level with solid experience in an embedded application field.

Must have proven experience of developing real time systems and strong embedded real time software skills using C.

Configuration management experience using Clearcase and debugging using in-circuit emulation tools also required.



Ideally the successful applicant will have automotive experience and be aware of SPICE assessment model.

Must be able to work as part of a team and be able to work alone.
Experience of QAC, Clearquest, GNU toolchain
