NPI Engineer

Company manufacture electronic facia instruments for major OEMs. Due to continued expansion they are seeking an experienced NPI Engineer to work out of the Worcestershire based factory.
Reporting to the NPI Manager,you will have responsible for providing operational support on assigned projects focusing on tooling and mechanical parts from order through to completion whilst ensuring cost recovery for design changes whether from customer or design in Japan. The core responsibility of this role is to support the planning and development of packaging through the liaison with production and purchasing functions.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS and ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support tool layout and costing of projects
Track tooling status to ensure design changes are incorporated and costs removed
Track parts orders to ensure correct level is received
Maintain product history for pre-production builds
Cost recovery of Design Change Notes (DCN)
Packaging specification, including validation and approval (internal and external)
Support in the validation of BOM (s)
Supporting the delivery of project milestones to achieve customers expectations
Support RFQ activities
Support Purchasing Team in tool general assembly reviews
Support cost down activities with other UK , European and Japanese locations.
