Based at one of our clients distrubition and service centres we are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager and as such we welcome applications who meet the criteria below:

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing (UK and Eire) General Manager. Required to Identify and develop new sustainable business opportunities and develop new and existing aftermarket revenue and profitability through the management of customer relationships in the Onshore and Offshore Oil and Gas industry and its support infrastructure.

  • Participate in the business planning forecast process.
  • Meet / exceed Sales and Profit targets
  • Assist with the development and lead the implementation of initiatives to meet the busijness object
  • Provide monthly sales forecasts, activity reporting and market input.
  • Maximise sales revenue and profitability of our Aftermarket Parts, Service and Equipment offerings to ensure targets are met on a monthly basis.
  • Deliver customer satisfaction through effective running of accounts, communication and developing first class customer relationships.
  • Review existing customer base and seek new business for allocated region and proactively seek opportunities to develop business including introducing Customer Support Plans.
  • In conjunction with Service Centre Managers, develop account plans to ensure profitable business growth and deliver customer satisfaction including the delivery of planned service profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Plan and manage customer visits to maximize efficiency and results.
  • Introduce and co-ordinate promotional activities within given territory as required.
  • Direct sales experience including the management and development of long-term, repeat-spend customer relationships.
  • General business acumen and people management experience
  • Strong computer skills including the use of standard office software
  • Higher education in engineering discipline
  • Diesel engine technical background
  • Proven track record in sales and can demonstrate above average sales performance, commercial awareness and negotiation skills preferably within an engineering based industry.
  • Communication / People skills.
  • Working knowledge of diesel engines and their application into the relevant market place.
  • Formal sales training relating to account management
  • Full driving license
