Our client is a world leader in the manufacture and repair of gas turbine components, and due to it`s on-going growth in the UK market is seeking to appoint an experienced Process Engineer. If you feel you meet the criteria below, please apply along with your CV for consideration:

Direct responsibility for production implementation on new qualification programs. Continually develop opportunity for process and business improvement and implement systems in order ensure processes are capable and robust.
Lead DMAIC projects supporting and including fault finding to resolve technical process problems.
Lead verification work for ensuring original costs are maintained and further improved.

  • To liaise directly with Operational Teams leading process improvement activity projects.
  • To work on multiple projects at any given time and to work closely with the operations and engineering teams to prioritise engineering projects in line with ever changing business / customer priorities
  • Attend production meetings and liaise with Production Management to ensure technical process issues are effectively managed.
  • To accurately review customer drawings and specifications and ensure compliance when creating work instructions.
  • Attend Engineering Meetings and provide input regarding status of projects and business critical priorities.
  • Lead troubleshooting activities associated with existing manufacturing processes.
  • Support and direct Laboratory regarding engineering investigation work on process issues.
  • Identify process equipment issues and provide improvement proposals and or solutions.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance schedules are implemented and adequate for process continuation.
  • Lead and deliver manufacturing process continuous improvement projects.
  • Effectively communicate with process operatives to ensure route cards and data cards are fully understood and workable.
  • To design and procure tooling in aid of production activity or improvement work. Liaise as required with Tooling Vendors.
  • To communicate and report to customers problems of a technical nature supporting Customer Services as required.
  • Plan and scope project work within set time scales and liaise directly with customers reporting on status and actions.
  • Produce technical reports as required during interim phases and at completion of project work.
  • To market and represent the company at customer technical meetings and conferences etc.
  • Assume all other responsibilities within your capabilities as determined with the Engineering Manager and liaise with other members of the Engineering Team to further the overall performance of the company.
