Quality Engineer
Brighouse, West Yorkshire, England
£25 - 35k per year + Overtime + Bonus
Our client is a leader in design, manufacture and support of world leading turbo chargers and associated equipment.
Due to growth plans a position of Quality Engineerhas become available, and as such we welcome applicants who want a fresh challenge, and meet the requirements below:
- Tracking and leading improvements in Internal Quality Performance for an allocated manufacturing cell.
- Leading and developing quality planning activities for the allocated cell
- Monitoring and managing quality measures and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Driving the completion of Corrective and Preventive actions
- Supporting APQP and PPAP activity.
- Maintaining standards and procedures to TS16949 level. Qualified to Degree/HND or equivalent level in Production, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or a related subject, you should have previous experience in a Quality/Assembly or Machine Shop environment and be able to demonstrate:
- Experience of technical tools such as Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) is essential.
- Knowledge of working with or implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) would be an advantage.
- Demonstable experience of leading Quality and Continuous Improvement (C.I.) projects.
- Working knowledge of FMEAs and Control Plans.
- Technical problem solving skills, including experience of using a structured approach to problem solving
