Ford Motor Company`s Powertrain Operations require a Productivity Engineer to work within their Manufacturing Engineering Group based in Essex.

The Productivity Engineer responsibilities include:

Estimating cycle times, hourly and salaried labour levels, uptime, capacity, launch cost, working pattern and ramp up effects and all revisions and concerns.

Develop and maintain machining and assembly work standards including the use of MODAPTS.

Carry out ergonomic assessments for all direct labour operations and generate the ergonomic evidence book for each program.

Support and drive simulation modelling and experimentation for all components.

Update and maintain industrial engineering input for Integrator.

Optimise all work stations at both Virtual and Make Like Production stages.

Verify workstandards (using MODAPTS) prior to PSW and final verification during PTR`s and ramp up.

Support machine capabilities on both machining and assembly.

Support PTR runs and log checks on both machining and assembly.

Develop and maintain HPU roadmaps.

As the Productivity Engineer you will hold an engineering related degree with a minimum 2.2 achieved. Candidates will have proven experience within a manufacturing environment.


The Powertrain Operations Manufacturing Engineering Group supports Engine Plants globally and consequently regular travel is an essential part of this position.
