Design Engineer - 1642645

We are recruiting for a Design Engineer on a 12-month contract based in Leicester.
As Design Engineer, you will have a varied and exciting role creating new designs from concept through to detailed design ensuring the parts are validated and meet the functional requirements.
You will be responsible for the production release of the parts and expected to work with suppliers to ensure the parts can be manufactured and meet the cost and quality targets.
The successful applicant will need to be flexible and be able to work on multiple areas of the machine i.e. structural fabrications, non-metallic components and cab interior.
Qualifications:
* Machine engineering design experience.
* Computer literate with Pro-E CAD engineering skills
* Experience in designing structural fabrications and non-metallic components.
* Knowledge and experience of problem solving analysis.
* Knowledge of Engineering process's, drawing standards, specifications, and Teamcentre workflow is desirable.
* Experience of Off highway equipment or other heavy machinery
* Ability to self direct but also work effectively in a diverse team environment.
* Engineering / Science Degree or equivalent industry experience
