Senior Heat Transfer Engineer

Our client acquires, develops and applies new ideas and improved components to support their customer's products. They also offer design, development, manufacture and software services and products to the aerospace, space, energy and transport industries.

We are looking for an experienced person to create and modify existing heat transfer models using Patron and P/Thermal using Patron and Satan. You must have experience or confidence in then reporting the findings back to the client and be able to answer questions derived from the results.

The successful applicant will have good working knowledge of Patron and P/Thermal. Sound understanding of radiative and convective heat transfer in rotating systems with experience of secondary flow systems. Further skills are required in Axi-symmetric thermal analysis modelling (ideally gas turbine components) including casings and rotor structures

A degree is a minimum for this role

A contract position for approximately 6 months with an immediate start at a friendly firm who are very busy.
