Exciting opportunity for an international Freight Manager, Midlands based volume manufacturing.

Role:

Business critical role, management of global operation, major 3PL contract (UK, Europe and Rest of World). This Freight Management role will develop, you will initially be responsible for managing a small team that coordinates all strategic/operational elements of this global volume manufacturing/engineering organisation. At the leading edge, within a world-class manufacturing facility you will be responsible for analysing existing procedures and improve processes, implementing lean principles to both reduce cost and enhance service to Global stakeholders.

The Person:

An experienced international Freight Manager who has an appreciation of the end to end supply chain of global freight. The successful applicant will also need:
- Degree Qualification
- Proven track record of managing sizeable 3PL contract.
- Very strong communication skills.
- Project Management experience
- Total cost down achievements.
- Confident, self motivated
- The ability to liaise with people at different levels both internal and external stakeholders.
