Main Duties
To manage the department and achieve and sustain the required levels of output in all areas of the business including Productivity, Quality and EHS. The successful candidate will be responsible  for developing Capital Expenditure proposals and projects along with ensuring the support of employees to  move projects through efficiently.

Job description
-Responsible for delivering Production levels to meet or exceed company expectations, and looking for ways of improving processes and increasing efficiencies
-Ensure the ongoing improvement of safety Standards within the department / Business Unit working alongside the Plant Safety Manager
-Liaise with the Engineering department to develop programs, identifying key plant and equipment where efficiencies can be made
-Ensure ongoing improvement in the Quality Performance of the department using 8D methodology
-Responsible for cost control measures to ensure the Business Unit runs to budget
-Manage all Quality, Productivity and EHS issues identified with Business Unit Team Leaders
DESCRIPTION: My client a Market leading Global manufacturing company. Due to company growth and restructuring they require an experienced Production Manager to strengthen the team. On the site they manufacture high quality, close tolerance fasteners for the aerospace industry.
VAC REQ :Key skills and experience
-Previous experience of working in a fast paced manufacturing Environment, ideally working within the Aerospace industry
-Strong man Management skills with experience of managing a Multi-skilled Production team comprising of permanent and contract staff
-Candidates should be educated to degree level in Mechanical or Production Engineer or relevant industry experience
-Experience of Continuous improvement or Lean Manufacturing would be an advantage
