A leading global aerospace player has opportunities for permanent Stress Engineers to work on metallic and composite structures in Bristol. These roles are commutable from Cheltenham , Gloucester, S Wales, Bristol and Weston Super Mare. This role could also be called Fatigue Engineer.
You will carry out stress and fatigue analysis on composite and metallic components and structures. This will be by hand calcs and by Finite Element methods. You will also develop test plans.
You will be qualified to at least an HND and have good experience of stress and/or fatigue with aerospace structures.
This will be with both FE and hand calcs. Nastran, Patran and Mathcad experience would be ideal. Windchill, Catia v5, Hypermesh or Hyperworks would be good. You will be British or EU citizens.
