They are currently seeking to recruit a Chassis Target Setting Engineer on a 6 month rolling contract basis, with responsibility for:

* Documenting all of the targets within an agreed format with and for the team.
* Carrying out or leading any benchmark gathering of information.
* Ensuring that the targets developed are congruent with the aspirations of the project
* Liaising directly with the commodity owners and the design team to ensure that the targets are fully and comprehensively understood and each commodity package leader buys into and agrees the targets along with confirmation that they are realistic and achievable.
* Develop and provide an overall project /work stream plan covering the relevant activities.
* Escalating any conflicts or incongruity at the earliest opportunity to the wider team and project lead.
* Complete, control and manage any relevant data sets in a disciplined and controlled manner within the project shared data area.
* Work within the protocols and systems of the customer to deliver the programme elements.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Chassis Engineer with in-depth understanding of target setting process for systems and components covering all Chassis attributes with chassis integration experience.
* Has a good understanding of chassis systems and associated attributes, such as frame, suspension, beam axles, brakes, vehicle dynamics and NVH
* Good communicator whilst being comfortable working with a number of different teams
* Objective driven with ability to focus on the solutions rather then just the problem
* A working level understanding of Microsoft based systems ( MS office suite etc)
* The ability to work autonomously and within a team
* A base understanding of risk management
* Confident in making data driven decisions
* Happy to work in a flexible way to support the delivery of the overall objectives
* Several years of working with vehicle and, in particular, chassis systems integration. Role would support vehicle, vehicle dynamics and NVH assessment and support
* Excellent working knowledge of suspension KandC
* Experienced in working with multiple commodity and attribute teams to ensure target alignment and coherence is met.
* Worked and operated within an engineering and/or manufacturing environment within either the automotive or aerospace industries
