Powertrain Strategic Planning Project Engineer

£22.40 - 22.40 per hour
A Project Engineer to support the Powertrain Strategic planning team, in order to help shape future Powertrain product offerings. This cross functional role offers excellent opportunities to demonstrate a broad range of technical, business and commercial skills.
Skills Required:
Ability to plan, organise, control and implement studies to time and quality requirements. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, self-confident and motivated attitude. Competent in MS Office applications, primarily Excel and PowerPoint.
Skills Preferred:
Technical knowledge of Powertrain systems.Knowledge of automotive industry and technological developments, including competitor and market awareness.Knowledge of Product Development processes and PCS (JLR Product creation). Self-motivated and able to deliver within tight deadlines.
Experience Required:
Demonstrate the ability to co-ordinate a cross-functional team (including Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Design, and Marketing) to assemble data in support of PT strategic reviews. Demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships with the numerous teams and parties.
Experience Preferred:
An understanding of automotive competitive strategy benchmarking.
Education Required:
Qualified to Degree level within an Engineering or Business discipline.
Additional Information:
Based at Whitley but travel to Gaydon required. A valid UK driving license is required.
