As a Component Engineer you'll be a key member of a dedicated unit engaged in developing mechanisms and pneumatic actuations systems

Specifically this will involve:
- Working with external suppliers and customers to specify, design, analyse and validate Mechanical and pneumatic components, such as: Mechanical transmissions, gears, linkages, joints and high temperature wear resistant components, yoke, bushes and wear blocks.
- Working with functional teams across the business to integrate the mechanism components into the finished products
- Managing component design validation including working with test facilities to execute tests.
- Developing and maintaining component design and analysis information, including specifications and drawings, DFMEA's, stress and modal frequency analysis and Dimensional Variation Analysis.
- Failure mode investigation and corrective action.
- Developing and maintaining component development time plans.
- Reporting and presenting progress in technical, management and customer reviews.
- Working with Purchasing to develop component cost models.
