Client Information
My client part of an International Group, with a very strong engineering reputation globally, they have achieved a record order book in the previous year, and projections for the same and higher for 2012. As a company my client can offer a comprehensive design and manufacturing facilities. They specialise in the bespoke project and manufacture of large heavy plant for various industry sectors, including Power Generation, Nuclear and Utilities


Job description
-Will be working on a range of Projects across a variety of industry sectors, primarily with medium to heavy engineering projects
-The successful candidate will be primarily working on large scale bespoke Engineering projects
-Responsible for running projects from concept and design through to final commissioning and installation
-Involvement in the contract tendering and bid process working with the sales team and the external client
-Responsible for working with the design engineers to ensure all design work meets criteria from the client
-Building and developing strong relationships with external customers
-Ensuring all Projects all progressed in accordance with company standards
-Working to complete projects to both financial deadlines and financial controls


Key skills and experience
-Educated to HNC level in Mechanical Engineering or relevant experience
-Strong knowledge and levels of ability on Solidworks design package
-Previous experience of Mechanical Handling equipment, lifting equipment, conveyor systems or bespoke engineering project work
-Knowledge of MathCAD would be an advantage but not essential
